Jail time for Emporium man An Emporium man will serve time in a correctional facility and two years' probation for possession of a controlled substance. Preston Clingan, 29, pleaded guilty to illegally possessing prescription medication and selling oxycodone from his house on Arrowhead Road last June. In other recent sentencing by Judge Richard Masson, a Cameron County man was sentenced to state prison term for burglary, receiving stolen property, conspiracy, corruption of minors and related charges. Justin Grovanz, 18, of Emporium, pleaded guilty to four separate crimes in 2007 and 2008. He admitted to breaking into East End Beverage last August, stealing $65. He and several juvenile accomplices broke a window to gain entry into Uni-Mart on Fourth Street and stole lottery tickets and tobacco items. Finally, Grovanz stole about $59 from a Cameron County High School classroom in April. He's been sentenced to serve at Western Diagnostic and Classification Center in Pittsburgh and must pay restitution and court costs. If eligible, he may serve his time in Quehanna Boot Camp. Robert MacMillian, 43, who was found guilty of his second offense of driving after imbibing by a jury on April 11, was sentenced to 12 to 24 months in state prison; two years' probation and an 18-month license suspension. He is also required to equip any vehicle he may own with an Interlock device prior to obtaining his driver's license. Wade Bunker, 39, of Mount Jewett, pleaded guilty to possessing marijuana during incidents in February 2008 and September 2007. He faces up to a year of probation, which will be transferred to his home in McKean County. |
