State park programs this weekend

Cherry Springs and Lyman Run state parks welcome visitors over the Memorial Day weekend.

At 7:00 p.m. Saturday, a program entitled "Discover the Sun" will allow Cherry Springs visitors to view the sun safely through a solar telescope.

An astronomy program will be held at Cherry Springs Saturday at 9:30 pm.

On Sunday, a guided hike will start and end at Lyman Run State Park. Participants should arrive no later than 4 pm.

Another astronomy program is on tap for 9:30 p.m. Sunday at Cherry Springs.
