Kayaking program Saturday

A program on kayaking has been set from 1 pm to 2:30 pm Saturday at Sinnemahoning State Park.

It'll show basics, such as types, techniques and safety tips, at the boat launch area of the park.

Boaters will also have a chance to kayak near the George B Stevenson Dam. They will also get to explore plants and species in the wetlands, including a bald eagle nesting site.

Cost is $8 per individual and $20 per family. It's limited to nine people. Registration is required. Kayaks and paddles will be provided. To register, call 647-8401.
