Elk apps being taken

Hunters may now apply for the drawing that will distribute 45 elk-hunting licenses for the Nov. 3-8 season.

Winners will be chosen on Saturday, Sept. 20, at the Pennsylvania Elk Expo. Some 17 antlered and 28 antlerless licenses will be awarded.

Hunters can submit applications online at the Game Commission website, pgc.state. pa.us. A $10 non-refundable fee is required. Forms will also be accepted through the mail if received by Aug. 15. Elk-hunters will be assigned to management areas located mostly in Elk and Cameron counties.
