Driftwood building moved
Replacement of the Route 555 bridge in Driftwood prompted authorities to literally lift up a building and move it out of the way.

Dale August Contracting of Clearfield moved the two-story Masonic Lodge, weighing some 90 tons, to a site about 45 feet away from construction of the bridge and 23 feet from the railroad tracks.

The lodge was built in 1865. For several years it was shared with Callahan's Store. The building will be available for meetings and other activities no later than September.
