Austin girls 8-2 in softball
      Austin rebounded from a rare defeat in Potter- McKean Little League softball action by pounding Custer City, 19-8. Hannah Glover had five hits, including a pair of triples, and Cheyenne Kio cracked four hits and drove in six runs for the winners.

      Cameron County Chamber of Commerce has lined up several business sponsors for Thursday's golf tournament at the Emporium Country Club. Proceeds will be used for advertising to promote the offerings of area businesses.

Snake hunt next weekend
      The Sinnemahoning Snake Hunt, is slated for June 14-15. Sinnemahoning Sportsmen's Association and the Keystone Reptile Club are co-sponsors. Snake hunters can register at the club on Friday. All hunters must have a certificate from the Pa. Fish and Boat Commission.
