TRANSPORTATION VOTE TUESDAY

Decisions will be reached soon on how to spend millions of dollars on highway and bridge projects across Cameron, Potter, McKean and Elk counties.

Copies of the region's Transportation Improvement Plan remain available for public review at county offices in Emporium and Coudersport.

The plan ranks highway and bridge projects for funding during 2009-12. As always, there is much more demand for road and bridge work than federal and state funding sources can support.

The plan can be reviewed, and comment left, at the courthouse and the planning office in each county. It's also posted on the internet at web2.ncentral. com/transportation.

Adoption of the plan is scheduled for 11 am Tuesday at the Northcentral Pa. Regional Planning and Development Commission office in Ridgway. That meeting is open to the public.
