Carnival set to open Monday in Emporium
      A carnival moves into downtown Emporium this weekend for the annual Old Home Week observance, sponsored as a fund-raiser and community service by Cameron County Little League. As always, rides, booths and concessions will be set up on South Broad Street from Monday through next Saturday.

      Fatal car crash SMETHPORT -- A McKean County man was killed late Sunday night in a one-vehicle accident on Route 6 in Hamlin Township. State police report that Brian Evenson, 23, of Kane lost control of his vehicle and allowed it to exit the highway, striking a tree.
