'SNOWMOBILES ACROSS POND' RETURNS TO POTTER
      One of the most bizarre spectator sports Potter County has ever seen returns on Saturday, June 28, at a new site. "Fastest Snowmobile Across the Pond" competition will be held atop Denton Hill, at the Mountain Valley Motorsports pond, across Rt. 6 from Potato City County Inn.

      A Potter County man continues his crosscountry trip to raise money for water wells in Mali, Africa. Bruce Trowbridge of Coudersport arrived in Eugene, Oregon, in late May and, on June 1, set out on his 3,000-mile "duathlon," a combination running and bicycling odyssey.

      A Potter County business is offering a step back in time with a weekly series of "cruise nights," featuring classic cars. Each Thursday from 6-8 pm, Fezz's Diner in Sweden Valley hosts the get-together in the parking lot in the Mill Creek Plaza.
