POLICE SEEK VANDALS

Police are on the lookout for vandals responsible for damaging lawn ornaments, ransacking vehicles and dumping oil on a street this week in Emporium.

Trooper Brian Goodrow from the Pa. State Police barracks in Emporium advises residents to remain alert and keep police informed of any leads or suspicious activities.

Sometime Tuesday night, individuals knocked over a soft drink machine at the borough maintenance shed on Second Street. They also dropped oil stolen from Kautz Plumbing and Heating on Third Street.

Flowerpots were tipped over at Willowwood Court and vehicles along Fifth and Cherry streets were burglarized.

This comes at a time when Emporium Borough Police are pushing for citizens to band together for a "Block Watch" program.
