 | | Crews will resume work on the new Route 555 bridge in Driftwood on Monday. As part of the project, the Masonic Lodge (shown) had to be picked up and moved nearby. PennDOT spokesperson Marla Fannin pointed out that digging for the $3.5 million bridge project won't take place at the contaminated soil area that was uncovered in March. Clearwater Construction will be moving soil in other areas. Pa. Dept. of Environmental Protection and PennDOT are hammering out a plan to address the contaminated soil area. Motorists should be alert for possible daylight traffic control at the site, with an alternating traffic pattern, controlled by flaggers. New bridge is expected to be completed in August 2009. |
