Cherry Springs programs set

Cherry Springs State Park will offer programs this weekend.

On Saturday at 8 pm, a Solar Viewing program will allow visitors to view the sun through a filtered telescope and later work on a scale model of the solar system. At 10 pm, the Stars and Parks program will be held in partnership with the National Public Observatory (NPO). Telescopes will be available to view the night skies from the observation area.

On Sunday at 2 pm, a Global Positioning System workshop and demonstration will be held. Additional information is available at 435-5010.
