Bears are on the move all around the Emporium area. One bruin checked out the surroundings of Charlie's Friendly Tavern, and progressed over to Olivett's Shurfine Foodmart. A mother and cubs have regularly been spotted along Old West Creek. Bruce Coppersmith snapped this picture of a bear cub that his black lab dog chased into a tree in the Doll Hill area, near Gardeau.
