      Potter-McKean pulled out a dramatic 10-8 win over Blue Ridge Tuesday night in a Pa. District 15 Little League softball showdown at Mansfield. A trio of pitchers, Kira Nolder, Kiersten Counts and Hannah Glover, held Blue Ridge to just three hits, but issued 11 walks.

Stavisky on the rise
      Brian Stavisky, who turns 28 on Sunday, is on the rise as a member of the Los Angeles Angels professional baseball organization. Stavisky, a lefthanded hitting outfielder, terrorized local pitching as slugger for Port Allegany youth baseball teams and for Oswayo Valley High School.
