Memories were flowing in Coudersport during two special events over the Independence Day weekend. A surprise retirement and 65th birthday party at the St. Eulalia Parish Center for the popular Charlie Cole included a reunion performance by Ollie and the Go Gos. Cole was a member of that 1960s rock band, which was a regional favorite. The party also celebrated birthdays of two other band members. Cole is flanked above by fellow birthday boys Dennis Barnett (left) and Larry Herbstritt. Appearing on stage were, from left, were Herbstritt, Cole, Barnett (drums), Carl Butler and Allen Berfield. Ollie and the Go Gos also entertained Saturday night at a joint reunion of the Coudersport High School classes of 1968 and 1973.
