'Potter Players' returning

There's a move afoot to resurrect a Potter County theatrical group that once sponsored annual plays and other productions.

Recruitment for Potter Players is underway and basic training in acting and the performing arts will soon be available through an Actors Workshop at the Potter County Education Council office in Coudersport.

Paul Herzig will direct the workshop, with assistance from Jared Empson, Anne Acker, Nancy Lamb, and Ruth Sallade.

Four three-hour workshops and will cover basic skills, including walking, pantomime, gestures and voice; actors goals and tasks; actor trinity (mind-body-voice); and performance.

Classes will be held Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 9:30, beginning July 31 and continuing through Aug. 21. Cost is $50; financial assistance is available.
