An exploration of hiking trails is set for 9 am to 10 am, Aug. 5-7. Kids will learn how to use a global positioning system and compasses. The sessions are open to nine- to 12-year-olds. Youngsters may also help construct projects at the state park from 9 am to noon Aug. 12-14. Seating is limited, and a $5 donation would cover cost of materials.
