Series coming to state park

Sizerville State Park continues its annual Environmental Educational Series.

A park naturalist and conservation volunteers will talk about macro-invertebrates, birds of prey, and migrating birds from 10 am to noon July 29-31. It's open to six- to eight-year olds.

An exploration of hiking trails is set for 9 am to 10 am, Aug. 5-7.

Kids will learn how to use a global positioning system and compasses. The sessions are open to nine- to 12-year-olds.

Youngsters may also help construct projects at the state park from 9 am to noon Aug. 12-14.

Seating is limited, and a $5 donation would cover cost of materials. For additional information, call 486-5605 or email sizervillesp@state.pa.us.
