Folk music on tap Saturday

Songwriter's Roundtable returns on Saturday at Ski Denton in central Potter County with a unique blend of talent from the Philadelphia Folksong Society.

Sherry Somach, Ted Jordan, Steve Perlsweig and Michael London are talented songwriters and performers who will provide a look inside one of the oldest folk organizations in the nation.

They also have a few surprises in store, according to Roundtable organizer Steve Quelet.

That quartet will present a songwriting workshop Saturday from 3 pm to 4 pm before their Roundtable appearance at 7 pm. Opening on Saturday will be local singer and songwriter Josh Wolf, along with guest performers Miranda Sickler, Hilary Gordnier and Cassey Stuckey.

Meals prepared by the Second Street Roost will be available starting at at 6 pm for $8. Tickets for the show are $10 for adults, or $5 for children under high school age.
