Benson new Rotary president

Mark Benson assumed presidency of the Coudersport Rotary Club during the June 30 meeting. He was handed the gavel by long-time Rotarian Bob "Smitty" Smith, whose presidency expired at the end June.

Smith, a Coudersport merchant for many years and Rotary member for more than 30 years, thanked the membership for support over the past year and wished Benson well.

Rotarians expressed their appreciation to Smith for his leadership and dedication to the community, which extends beyond Rotary activities to volunteer deejay service and service to the First Presbyterian Church of Coudersport.

Benson is a manager at Potter County Human Services and is active as a volunteer with the Four-County Senior Games and Christmas House of Coudersport.
