Survivor: Cameron County apps available

Applications are available for "Survivor: Cameron County," a new attraction to this year's Cameron County Fair.

Based on the CBS-TV hit series, the local show will take the stage at 6 pm Friday, Aug. 8.

They can be found at businesses in Emporium. Competition is open to those 16 or older.

Organizers are looking for tractor owners who would like to join the tractor parade through town to the fairgrounds on Monday, Aug. 4, at 5 pm.

Any type of tractor will do -- farm, garden, or lawn; shiny and clean or dirty and rusty.

Community groups are also welcome to march or enter a float.
