One of the more interesting events at the 10th annual Antique, Classic and Custom Car Show at Kightlinger Motors in Coudersport was the "burnout" of a 1983 Chevrolet pickup truck, conducted by 16-year-old Dallas Niles of Austin. The show attracted a big crowd to look over vehicles such as a 1948 police car and 1956 Plymouth hearse (complete with Elvis), owned by Dan Thierman, and more than three dozen others. There were giveaways and other special activities and events sponsored by Kightlinger Motors. The Kightlinger family came to Coudersport from the Meadville area about 30 years ago and took over the former Robbins Chevrolet at Mill and East Second streets. As the business outgrew its space, the family decided to relocate to a larger property on the Port Allegany Road, former site of the Damascus Tannery.
