'Herbal Fair' this weekend

Natural products, from herbs to cosmetics to vegetables, will be spotlighted during the third annual Mountain Thyme Herbal Fair at Cherry Springs State Park today and Sunday, from 10 am to 4 pm. Admission is free.

More people are looking for natural alternatives to chemical products found in commercial soaps, lotions, oils, cleaning products and personal care items. There's a growing interest in healthful herbs and organic, chemical-free compounds.

Vendors will sell natural products, and programs will be presented on wild plants and flowers, plant use and identifi cation. There'll be children's activities and live folk music. A blacksmith, jewelry-maker and maple vendor will be on hand.
