WOODSMEN'S SHOW AUG. 1-3
Galeton Rotary Club sponsors the show each year, attracting thousands of people from several states. A popular addition in recent years has been the Chainsaw Carving Contest. These artisans will be in action all three days, demonstrating their skills, competing for prizes and selling some of their productions. As always, some of the top lumberjacks in the country will compete in events such as crosscut saw, springboard, axthrowing and tree-felling. Exhibits, vendors and historical re-enactments commemorate the bountiful forest and the life of the woodhick. There are many food and refreshment booths, with camping available at the park and in nearby campgrounds.
