POTTER COUNTY FAIR OPENS JULY 27

Rural living is celebrated each summer at the Potter County Fair.

This year's fair runs July 27 through Aug. 2 at the fairgrounds in Millport.

There is no fee for admission, parking or grandstand events.

After opening ceremonies at 6 pm Sunday, July 27, a kiddie parade will be held and live music will be featured.

The midway and carnival opens on Monday. Rides are one price from 1 pm to 5 pm. Country Fever will perform that night from 7-11.

Grange activities will be spotlighted on Tuesday, with Brother Dietze and the Dixie Boys on stage that night.

Wednesday is Senior Citizen Day. Also, reduced-price rides run from 1-5. Country Gold performs at the grandstand from 7 to 11.

An open horse show and 8 pm queen-crowning highlight activities on Thursday.

The junior dairy show, livestock auction, and an evening performance by the Kelly Mountain Boys are on tap for Friday.

Final day of the fair is Saturday, Aug. 2, with reduced-price rides and other events.
