Cross country meet Tuesday at CARP

Coudersport hosts the Northern Tier League crosscountry meet Tuesday on the course at CARP.

Among runners to watch are Coudersport's sisters, Emily and Allison Giannotti, Northern Potter's Steven Kibbe and Oswayo Valley's Orion Bernard.

Emily and Allison led a string of Coudersport runners sweeping the first five places in a 15-42 win over Northern Potter on Tuesday. Allyson Elliott was third, followed by Marina Snyder and Brielle Whitman.

Kibbe won the boys' race by more than a full minute as the Panthers topped Coudersport, 20-35. Falcon Dave Dupont placed fourth, followed by teammate Steve Forney.

Coudersport also sent several runners to Saturday's Southern Tier Classic in Allegany, N.Y., where Emily Giannotti was fourth in a competitive field. Dupont was 23rd and Forney placed 25th.
