Bardo, Kamats 5-0 at Lewistown

Several members of the Cameron County High School wrestling team made a strong showing after a long trip top the Lewistown Tournament last weekend. In team results, the Red Raiders were 1-4, beating Moorefield, W. Va, 42-27.

Cameron County has been without the services of two senior standouts, Randy Schatz and Mike Baker, due to injury.

Hunter Bardo and Chase Kamats led the way at Lewistown, posting 5-0 records.

Bardo, at 171 pounds, had three pins and an 8-3 decision to go with a forfeit.

Kamats (119) had four pins and a tough 9-7 decision.

Dom Manginell had two pins, a decision and a forfeit win at 135 to finish 4-1.

Ryan Neyman was 2-2 with a pin and a major decision before he, too, was sidelined with an injury.

Matt Melott (215) recorded a pair of quick pins and finished 2-3.

Also competing for Cameron County were Caleb Hauss (1-4 at 125), Tyler Bidwell, Matt Bailey, Ed Lingenfelter and Kyle Stuart.

Sheffield comes to Emporium on Wednesday night. The Raiders will travel to Coudersport for a tournament next Saturday.
