Thirty two young men and women pedaled their bicycles through central Potter County on U.S. Route 6 this week, roosting overnight at the Alliance Barn in north Coudersport before resuming their westward journey Wednesday morning. More...

Several of the 11 disabled military veterans passing through Coudersport last week were moved to tears by the enthusiastic and patriotic greeting that awaited them. County employees took a break to line the streets, waving flags, joined by many townspeople, both young and old. The veterans were escorted by the American Legion Post 192 squad car (right) and a motorcycle group as they progressed through Coudersport and Austin, where another enthusiastic reception awaited them. Kim L. Brekke, 49, of Coudersport, died Sunday, June 14, 2009 at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital in Coudersport. Born on February 23, 1960 in Encino, CA, Kim was the daughter of Jack and Donna Dronsky. Kim had lived in Canada most of her life, moving to the United States nine years ago where she lived in Massachusetts. She moved to the Coudersport area in July 2008. More...
