Duffee honored for softball

Pennsylvania Softball Coaches Association (PSCA) announced its 2009 All-State high school softball teams. Among those selected for honorable mention was senior pitcher Karli Duffee of Coudersport.

The daughter of Gerald and Terri Duffee, she posted a 17-2 record with a microscopic 0.45 earned run average. She also struck out 175 batters and walked just 11 in pitching 109-plus innings. Duffee held opponents to a .096 batting average.

PSCA also acknowledged her offensive contributions during the 2009 season. Duffee posted a .522 batting average with a .729 slugging percentage, 25 runs scored and 24 runs batted in.
