Several racecars circling the oval at the Woodhull (N.Y.) Raceway on Saturday night, July 25, will carry special messages of support for an Austin girl. "Racing for a Cure" will be held that night in honor of Paige McLaughlin and as a fund-raiser for the Histiocytosis Association of America (HAA). Paige, shown here with Late Models driver Brian Conley, was diagnosed in late 2007 with a form of histiocytosis, a rare blood disease. Events on July 25 will include racing, a pig roast, live music and more. All proceeds will go to HAA. Bollhorst Busing will provide transportation to Woodhull for $5.00 per person, with the bus leaving the Austin Area School parking lot at 1:30. Seats can be reserved by calling Colleen Zenns at 814-260-9507. Tickets for the race are $11 and can be purchased at the gate. |
