CVFD 300 Club dinner planned Sept. 26
      Coudersport Volunteer Fire Department has announced plans for its major fund-raiser, the popular 300 Club Dinner, on Saturday, Sept. 26, at CVFD. Tickets are $50 and entitle the buyer to a buffet dinner and drawings. They can be obtained at NAPA Auto Parts or by calling 274-7012.

The award was presented by club president Ron Angood. Both Steve and Ron are anxious to introduce prospective members to the club, which is affiliated with the international service organization.

Blose physician assistant in Erie
      Christa M. Blose has accepted a position in endocrinology with Metabolic Disease Associates of Erie. A 2004 graduate of Cameron County High School, she recently passed her physician assistant national certification examination. Blose earned a master's degree from Gannon University after graduating summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree from Gannon in 2008.

Pet Parade Sept. 27 in Austin
      Austin Volunteer Fire Company will host a Pet Parade at 1 pm on Sunday, Sept. 27, during the 10th annual Fall Festival. All pets must be on a leash or in a carrier. Children ages 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Participants should meet at the firehall by 12:45.

Fair calendar fund-raiser begins
      Cameron County Fair Association is selling fund-raising calendars for $10. Winners will be determined by Pennsylvania Lottery drawings during January and February Fair volunteers will also be raising money through a funnel cake booth at the Autumn Festival on Oct. 3 at Sizerville State Park.

      Jubilee Foods has once again made a substantial donation to the Coudersport Falcons football team following the recent store-sponsored Steak Bake. According to owner Stan Swank, Jubilee supplied the food while the football players cooked and served in two shifts. A total of 236 dinners were sold.

      Gwendolyn Victoria Bartlett Anita M. and Jason E. Bartlett of Coudersport are parents of a daughter born on Sept. 9, 2009, at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital. Named Gwendolyn Victoria Bartlett, she weighed eight pounds, one ounce and joins a sister, Layla J. Bartlett.
