Results of elk kill will be analyzed
      Game Commission officials will be assessing the results of this month’s controlled elk hunt in Pennsylvania in the coming months, prior to deciding how many hunting licenses to issue for the 2010 hunt. As Endeavor News reported last week, there were 44 elk killed by the 60 licensed hunters.

PFBC to inspect natural gas well sites
      Another state agency has stepped in to assist with oversight of natural gas drilling, due to concerns about possible environmental damage. Law enforcement officers and biologists with the Pa. Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) will conduct field inspections of active drilling sites for Marcellus shale gas wells beginning next month, the agency announced this week.
