      Survival is at stake on the artificial turf in Brockway Saturday afternoon when Cameron County takes on Clarion in a high school football game that ushers the winner into next weekend’s PIAA District 9 championship game.

Once again, it’s Coudersport vs. Curwensville
     Once again, Coudersport and Curwensville are hooking up on the football field in a high-stakes showdown. The two schools have often met up in the PIAA District 9 playoffs, fighting for a berth in the state playoffs, and Saturday’s clash in Brockway (6 pm) is no exception. The winner meets either Cameron County or Clarion next weekend for the D9 championship, while the loser is finished.

Football all-stars named
      Three members of the Allegheny Mountain League North Division champion Cameron County Red Raiders were selected for the Big 30 High School Football Team. Senior running back Andy Lippert and junior quarterback Jason Blose were selected, as was junior linebacker Andrew Fragale. Lippert is an automatic pick to play in the Don Raabe Big 30 Charities Classic next August in Bradford.
