High flying Falcons in district title game
      Hit hard by graduation and turning to many underclassmen to play critical roles, the Falcons of Coudersport were surrounded with uncertainties entering the 2009 high school football season. Coaches installed a new “flex-bone” offensive style that was challenging to master but also difficult for defenses to control.

Historic season for unbeaten Red Raiders
      The 2009 Cameron County Red Raiders wrote their names in the school history books by polishing off a perfect 9-0 run through the Allegheny Mountain Football League schedule. Falcons one win away from D9 title
      Not too many armchair experts expected to see the perennial contenders from Coudersport back in the PIAA District 9 championship game. But despite the terrible toll of graduation and a slow start, the Falcons are within one victory of another D9 title and a berth in the Elite Eight round of the state playoffs.

Karpinski named to volleyball all-stars
      Kaitlyn Karpinski of Coudersport has been named to the Northern Tier High School Volleyball League all-star team, a ceremonial squad chosen by league coaches. Other first-team picks were Taylor Thomas (league MVP) and Spryce York, Otto-Eldred; Brielle Cornelius and Brittany Meacham, Oswayo Valley; Alyssa Bowser, Port Allegany; and Danielle Nielsen, Smethport.
