Kathryn Kalisz Donovan

Kathryn Kalisz Donovan, 61, of Brooksville, FL, formerly of Austin, died Jan. 14, 2010 at home. Born Dec. 21, 1948 in St. Marys, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret (Rutz) Kalisz of Emporium. Kathryn (Kitty) grew up in Farmington, CT, graduating from Farmington High School with the Class of 1966. She was a renowned master colorist, author, and entrepreneur. Her life centered around color and its effects on the human being. She launched her company, Sci/Art Global (www.sciartglobal.com) in 2000 and soon became an international authority in the field of color. Survivors include three daughters, Louanna (Williams) Wilson and her husband Christopher of Bristol, CT; Suzanna Grief of Spring Hill, FL, and Manessa Donovan of Brooksville, FL. Kathryn had one grandchild, Esmaya Wilson. She is also survived by several siblings. A memorial service/Celebration of Life was held Feb. 4 at 10 am at Christian Life Church, Berlin, CT (www.welovepeople.org). As the incident that took Kitty’s life also left her youngest daughter in the hospital, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kathryn’s memory directly to her daughter.
