Obituary Policy

Full obituaries are billed at a flat rate of $15.

Death notices are published free.

Photographs of the deceased will be printed with paid obituaries at no extra charge. Obituaries will include all traditional information, as well as any personal information requested by the deceased’s family, such warm memories of the deceased, their hobbies and interests, highlights of their lives, etc.

There is no length restriction.

Obituaries must be received at our office by 5 p.m. Wednesday to guarantee that they are published in that Saturday’s edition. They can be hand-delivered, faxed, mailed or emailed to us. Our contact information is below.

Obituaries will be billed to the funeral home in charge of funeral arrangements, unless the family of the deceased requests otherwise.
