Joseph D. Jordan

Joseph Daniel “Joey” Jordan, 49, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Emporium, died Jan. 3, 2018, at Allegheny Valley School in Pittsburgh. He was born in St. Marys, a son of Charles C. and Inez Mitchell Jordan of Emporium. Among survivors are his parents and a brother, Charles Jordan of Emporium. Burial was in Portage Township Cemetery, Gardeau. Barnett Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Walter A. DeHaven

Walter A. DeHaven Jr., 81, of Port Allegany, died Jan. 4, 2018, in Lakeview Senior Care Center, Smethport. Born in Austin, he was a son of Walter A. and Agnes Atkinson DeHaven. In 1983, he married Anna P. Love (Anna Brookens). He was employed by Pittsburgh Corning Co. for 40 years. Among survivors are his wife and three children, Jeffrey L. DeHaven of Oregon, Jody A. Spencer of Addison, N.Y., and Joy E. Spader of Port Allegany. Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany, handled arrangements.

Benjamin F. Kish

Benjamin F. Kish, 45, of Morris, died on Jan. 4, 2018, at Carleton Nursing Home, Wellsboro. He was born October 4, 1972, in Coudersport, the son of Franklin S. Kish and Lillian M. (Johnson) Kish. Benjamin was a graduate of Liberty High School. He was employed at Joker’s Coal for over 20 years. Most recently he was employed by Dairy Farmers of America out of Middlebury Center. Among survivors are his father; a brother, Robert Smith of Galeton; and a sister, Linda Trott of Ulysses. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery, Galeton. Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, Wellsboro, is handling arrangements.

Mary M. Abrahamson

Mary M. Abrahamson, 90, of Falls Church, Va., died Christmas Day, 2017. She was predeceased by her husband, Arnold F. J. Abrahamson. A graveside service was held at West Hill Cemetery, Galeton. Olney Funeral Home, Ulysses, was in charge of arrangements.

Ferd W. Irish

Ferd W. Irish, 82, a long-time Sweden Township farmer, died Jan. 9, 2018, at his home after a long illness. Friends may call from 10 am to noon on Saturday, Jan. 13, at St. Bibiana Catholic Church, Galeton, where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow. Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse, is in charge of arrangements.

Gary P. Boyer

Gary P. Boyer, 62, of Emporium, died Dec. 19, 2017, at his residence. He was born in St. Marys, a son of James P. and Doris Varner Boyer. Gary graduated from Jeff Tech, DuBois, in 1973. He was a self-employed carpenter for many years. Among survivors is a sister, Janet Hupp. Barnett Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Robert C. Howell III

Robert C. Howell III, 42, of Genesee, died Jan. 9, 2018, in Jones Memorial Hospital, Wellsville, N.Y. Born in Waycross, Ga., he was the son of Robert C. and Faye Mobley Howell Jr. Among survivors are his wife, Candace M. Brower of Genesee; three children, Robert H. Howell, Katerina Howell and Amelia Howell; two step-children, Gabrielle Thompson-Brower and Harley Thompson-Brower; and four sisters. Olney Funeral Home, Ulysses, is handling arrangements.
