UPMC Cole nurse certified

A registered nurse at UPMC Cole has received certification for specialized services in the hospital’s anticoagulation clinic. Jamie Wyatt met all of the requirements to be designated as a care provider by the National Board for Anticoagulation Providers.

She recently passed a comprehensive examination covering five key domains of knowledge related to anticoagulation management: pathophysiology, assessment, patient education, applied pharmacology, and operational procedures.

Wyatt has worked at the clinic since its inception three years ago. She provides comprehensive management of patients on warfarin therapy for conditions such as atrial fibrillation, DVT, and heart valve replacement.
