Coudersport Library Gala auction nears

Tickets are still available Coudersport Public Library’s Books Unlimited Gala & Auction, scheduled for Friday evening, Nov. 9 at the St. Eulalia Parish Center. The evening begins with an auction preview at 5:00 p.m., and features heavy hors d’oeuvres, along with bag, silent and verbal auctions and a variety of raffles.

In addition to a wide variety of handmade items donated by local artisans and craftspeople, antiques, collectibles, new merchandise, gift certificates to local restaurants and services, this year’s auction features multiple sets of professional sports tickets: Buffalo Bills vs. Detroit Lions; Bills vs. AFC East division rival New York Jets; Buffalo Sabres center ice tickets vs. the Pittsburgh Penguins and Philadelphia Flyers; tickets to a 2018 Pittsburgh Pirates home game; a football personally signed by Bills’ first round draft pick, Josh Allen; a signed photo of Pittsburgh Steelers #84 Antonio Brown; a Pittsburgh Penguins goody bag, and more.

Approximately 300 items will be auctioned or raffled off during the Gala.

Books Unlimited is the Library’s major annual fundraiser, accounting for a significant percentage of the operating budget. It’s not too late to make a last-minute item or monetary donation; drop your item off at the library or call to arrange for pickup. Tickets are available at the Library at a cost of $30 each. For more information, call the Library at 274-9382.
